Der Chor Arcadia wurde im November 2006, auf Wunsch einiger TeilnehmerInnen von
Italienischkursen gegründet
und besteht derzeit aus über 40 begeisterten Mitgliedern.
Ursprünglich wollten Letztere durch die wiederholten Übungen die
italienische Aussprache verbessern
und sich auch das Erlernen italienischer
Worte erleichtern,
aber im Kürze ist die Faszination für die italienische Musik
die wichtigste Motivation für den gemeinsamen Gesang geworden.
Das Repertoire des Chores erstreckt sich von italienischen Volksliedern (sogar
im Dialekt der verschiedenen Regionen Italiens gesungen)
und Mittelalterlicher- und
Barockmusik bis zu Romanzen und Opernliedern und
sogar "moderner" Musik.
Vom Anfang an wird der Chor von Prof. Mag. Nelly LiPuma geleitet,
die nach ihren
internationalen beruflichen Erfahrungen
seit vielen Jahren in Wien als Lehrerin, Pianistin,
Komponistin und Chorleiterin sehr bekannt ist.
Der Chor besteht aus zwei Gruppe:

Eine Gruppe probt am Do. von 12.15 bis 13.45 in Musisches Zentrum, Zeltgasse 7, 1080 Wien
-
Eine zweite Gruppe probt am Mo. von 19.30 bis 21Uhr in der Minoriten Kirche - Addresse: Minoritenplatz 2A, 1010 Wien
Neue weibliche und
männliche Stimmen sind natürlich bei beiden Chören jederzeit herzlich
willkommen.
Liebe für die Musik und Lust auf Singen sind die einzigen
Voraussetzungen.
Die Kenntnis der italienischen Sprache ist nicht erforderlich.
Zahlreiche Konzerte und Projekte in Österreich und in Italien.

The Arcadia choir was founded in November 2006 at the request of some participants in Italian language courses
and currently consists of over 40 enthusiastic members.
Originally, the latter wanted to improve the Italian pronunciation through repeated exercises
and also make learning Italian words easier,
but in the near future, the fascination for Italian music has become the most important motivation for singing together.
The repertoire of the choir extends from Italian folk songs (even sung in the dialect of the different regions of Italy)
and medieval and baroque music to romances and opera songs and even "modern" music.
From the beginning, the choir will be headed by Nelly LiPuma, after her international professional experience
has been well-known in Vienna for many years as a teacher, pianist, composer and choirmaster.
The choir consists of two groups:

A group rehearses on Thursdays from 12.15 to 13.45 in Musisches Zentrum, Zeltgasse 7, 1080 Vienna
- A second group rehearses on Mon. from 7.30 pm to 9 pm in the Minoriten Kirche - Address: Minoritenplatz 2A, 1010 Vienna
Of course, new female and male voices are always welcome at both choirs.
Love for music and the desire to sing are the only requirements.
Knowledge of the Italian language is not required.
Numerous concerts and projects in Austria and Italy.

I cori che nel mondo eseguono brani del repertorio italiano sono composti per lo piú da italiani
o figli di italiani e nascono, in genere, nell'ambito di associazioni regionali all'estero.
Non ci sono molti cori, composti esclusivamente da non italiani, che abbiano scelto di eseguire soltanto brani
in italiano.
Ma il coro Arcadia, formato da una quarantina di austriaci e residenti non italiani a Vienna
e dintorni, entusiasti di cantare nella lingua del "bel paese", canta madrigali, musica medievale, musica sacra,
brani d'oper e brani in dialetto delle diverse regioni d'Italia.
Soltanto la direttrice, Nelly LiPuma, é italiana.
Il coro é nato nel novembre del 2006, su proposta di un piccolo gruppo di iscritti ai corsi di italiano,
con il fine di migliorare la pronuncia e la conoscenza della lingua attraverso la musica.
Da allora il coro ha ampliato il suo repertorio e si é esibito con solisti e orchestra a Vienna,
in Niederösterreich e in Burgenland.
Nel 2017 ha compiuto il suo primo viaggio-concerto in Italia.
Cantare in italiano non é solo bello, ma é anche un modo divertente per imparare
la lingua e conoscere la cultura italiana:
È davvero sorprendente e ammirevole l'entusiasmo e l'impegno
con il quale coristi e coriste di diverese nazionalitá,
Austria, Belgio, Olanda, Polonia, Romania, Russia, Scozia, Ungheria, USA,
affrontano lo studio dei vari brani in italiano antico (il volgare) e moderno e nei diversi dialetti regionali.
